We regret to inform you that the upcoming Annual Fall Seminar will be postponed. Chokyi Nyima Rinpoche has been planning to visit his brother, Chokling Rinpoche, for quite some time, and has just been granted a visa to travel. Chokyi Nyima Rinpoche will travel together with Phakchok Rinpoche, Tsoknyi Rinpoche, Mingyur Rinpoche, and Tenpa-la to see Chokling Rinpoche. Please pray for Chokling Rinpoche's continued well-being.

We will let you know when the new seminar dates have been confirmed. For those of you who have already registered and made offerings, you will not need to register again. We thank you for your enthusiasm and generosity.

Rangjung Yeshe Institute 40th Annual Fall Seminar Online

We are happy to announce that the Rangjung Yeshe Institute 40th Annual Fall Seminar will take place online beginning Friday, November 20, and finishing on Tuesday, November 24, Guru Rinpoche Day. Chokyi Nyima Rinpoche has kindly agreed to share his profound wisdom on the topic of Buddha Nature. These teachings will be streamed live from November 20th - 24th. These teachings will be available online for students across the world, and will be streamed for registered users live in English on DharmaSun and in multiple languages via Zoom. All registrants are required to listen to the teachings in sequential order.

The seminar will be divided into two segments:

  1. Buddha Nature: Part One is open to all.
  2. Buddha Nature: Part Two is open to those who have previously attended a seminar with Chokyi Nyima Rinpoche in Nepal or abroad, who have attended an online seminar with Chokyi Nyima Rinpoche, who are engaged in the First Excellence of Tara’s Triple Excellence, or those who attend the entirety of the first three days of this year’s seminar, Buddha Nature: Part One.

The Annual RYI seminar offers a unique opportunity for students of all levels—from beginners to advanced practitioners—to receive rare and precious teachings from one of the world’s most esteemed Buddhist masters. We therefore ask that you share this opportunity with all those who might be interested in joining online.

Chokyi Nyima Rinpoche will teach in Tibetan, and there will be translation into Chinese, English, German, Nepali, Portuguese, Spanish, Russian, Ukrainian, and Vietnamese.

Please note that the teachings may end later than the scheduled time each day. The final day of the second part of the seminar, November 24th, is Guru Rinpoche day.

If you cannot attend the sessions live, there will be recordings posted a couple of hours after each teaching. Access to the recordings on will be available until December 1st.

You can register at DharmaSun for either seminar, you will automatically be registered for the live Zoom sessions and will receive your personal Zoom login information via email directly from Zoom.


The teachings themselves are being offered on a donation basis. As is traditional, we encourage you to use this opportunity to make offerings to support the monastery and its activities. On the final day of the seminar, there will be an opportunity to make additional offerings to Chokyi Nyima Rinpoche online. More details will be sent out.
